Who's shoes? Isabelle and Gracie
Back in April 2020 Dressage Anywhere ran an online hobby horse dressage competition and raffle to raise money for the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal. There were some fabulous prizes available in the raffle and we donated one of our Cheltenham Horseshoe Handle Trays to help this very important cause.
The competition was open to all and one of the entrants was Isabelle who through the raffle won our tray. After being notified of the winner, we contacted Isabelle's lovely mum Wendy, to ask if they had any of their own horseshoes they would like us to use for the handles on the tray.
This was when we found out about Isabelle’s horse Gracie who is a 12.2 Section B Blue Roan and an amazing 32 years old.

We wanted to find out more about Isabelle and her beloved horse Gracie and so in Isabelle’s own words.
What do you love about horse riding?
That you can really enjoy it.
What do you and Gracie do together?
We go for hacks in the woods and look after each other.
Why is Gracie so special to you?
Because I love her.
Does Gracie have any cheeky or naughty habits?
When I first got her she wasn’t naughty but she was going too fast and I normally fell off jumping
What does Gracie dislike?
She likes her own private space. Eg when she has her feed
Tell us about Gracie’s favourite friends?
We have another pony called Jasmine and they are quite good friends
Tell us about the Dressage Anywhere hobby horse competition
It was hard but I really enjoyed it.
We wanted to get some thoughts from Dressage Anywhere and here is what they had to say
‘We were delighted to see Isabelle take part in our Hobby Horse Online Dressage Competition. The judge, international Dressage rider Alice Oppenheimer, was so impressed with her energy and the quality of steps and went on to score her 72.50%.
Isabelle helped us raise over £4,000 for the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal! We were absolutely thrilled that so many from the equestrian world entered into the spirit of the event as well as contributing so much to charity’.
